Professor Lars Arendt-Nielsen, dr. med., Ph.D., is founder and director of Center for Sensory-Motor Interaction and PI at Center for Pain and Neuroplasticity, Aalborg University, Denmark.

The research focus:

1) experimental and clinical musculoskeletal pain research

2) human diagnostic and predictive pain bio-markers

3) mechanism-based clinical proof-of-concept pain profiling

4) pharmacological modulation of chronic pain.

His publication record counts 1,176 reviewed journal papers (times cited 42,056, H-index 97. He was the President of The International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) (2018-20) and is currently acting as immediate-past-president. Is knighted by the Danish Queen for his contribution to science.
